A restored, 4pc. Antique American Floral Stained Glass Set from Detroit, circa 1900.  Composed of a pair of climbing Rose Vines with lots of foliage and blooms set against a clear background the panels are in excellent condition with perhaps 3-4 cracks in interior clear pieces.

Originally comprised of 6 panels (see the picture showing 5 of the 6 panels prior to restoration), the 4 central panels were undoubtedly ‘double hung’ windows while the outer flanking pair were curved and fixed in place, all most likely in a Turret.  The set was removed from a grand Detroit Mansion on Cadillac Ave. just off of Jefferson many years ago and put into storage; at that  time they were removed from their original frames, flattened and put into temporary frames.  The 4 central frames measured 35” x 33.5” while the flanking pair each measured 35” x 44”.

Restoration of the set has been completed.  The 2 pair of central panels were joined at their midlines and then reframed.  (See the pictures immediately below.) The outer panels, which originally were shorter, have been extended lengthwise with a field of squares of clear glass to match the central panels in length and composition and then reframed.

The outer pair, in their frames measure 36.25” x 63.75” each.

The center pair, in their frames measure 35.5” x 63.75” each.

Price for the restored set:  $12,000.00
