fid#6054-6056 and 6057-6059

Two 3 piece Antique American Art Nouveau Stained Glass Window sets from Cleveland, Ohio, circa 1900.  Originally each set was comprised of an upper and lower sash surmounted by a transom.  The individual panels of each set have been removed from the old sash’s and reinstalled in a new frame contiguous to one another.

The new framed sets each measure 31.75” x 69.25”.  The individual panels, less framing measure as follow:

Transoms: 28.25” x 16.25”

Middle and lower panels: 28.25” x 24.25”

There is very dramatic glass throughout and the background is color phased from bottom to top.  All 6 panels are in very good condition with a very few cracks amongst them.  (Any cracking should be visible when the thumbnails are enlarged.)

(As an aside, I took these windows to The Kokomo Opalescent Glass Works in Kokomo, Ind. to look for repair glass and they raved over the glass in these windows, particularly the reds which can no longer be made; they contain arsenic in the original formulation.  All of the glass came from KOG.)

Price for both sets:  Sale Pending
